Practical cybersecurity consulting

Find the security gaps that matter and fix them in the right order.

Risk runs through accounts, cloud services, phones, backups, laptops, networks and vendors. Wise IT helps you understand the weak points that matter, put sensible safeguards in place and define who keeps them working.

  • Business impact first
  • Cyber and physical systems
  • A practical order for the work

Where risk shows up

Focus first on the risks that could hurt the business.

We look at how people, systems, vendors and daily habits affect each other. Then we put the work in an order that reflects the likely impact and what your team can maintain.

ID

Identity, Microsoft 365 & devices

Accounts, administrator roles, sign-in protection, device controls, email and data settings that your team can keep up with.

NI

Networks, infrastructure & voice

Firewalls, segmentation, remote access, secure administration, sound configuration and enough visibility to spot trouble.

Network and infrastructure consulting
IR

Recovery & incident preparation

Protected backups, tested restores, a recovery order, escalation contacts and response steps your team can practice.

Continuity and recovery planning
PX

Physical security

Video and access systems planned with network separation, retention, remote access, power and recovery in mind.

VR

Vendor & aging-system risk

Unsupported systems, too much vendor access, unclear responsibility and hidden dependencies that make ordinary failures worse.

SP

Specialist help

If you need formal penetration testing, compliance attestation or a specialist response, we’ll explain where our work ends and help coordinate qualified support.

How we approach security

Know what’s wrong, what matters most and what to do next.

Depending on the work, you may receive an assessment, risk register, improvement plan, design recommendation, test results, recovery instructions or a list of ongoing responsibilities.

01

Review

Understand what you have today, find the important gaps and give each next step an owner.

02

Improve

Put approved safeguards in place, reduce weak points, test the result and document the changes.

03

Keep watch

Maintain the safeguards included in our agreement and revisit risk over time. Your scope will state exactly what Wise IT covers.

Security response experience

Lessons from vulnerability and recovery work.

Wise IT is led by an engineering operations leader with more than a decade of work in security for enterprise voice systems, carrier networks, ISP/MSP infrastructure, vulnerability response, incident analysis and high-availability systems.

That experience shapes the technical safeguards we recommend and the response plans around them.

Start with the concern you already have.

It may be an audit finding, a recurring incident, a renewal, a migration, an insurance requirement or a setup that has never had a full review.

Talk about security

Common questions

Cybersecurity consulting FAQs

These answers cover the questions that usually need to be settled before the scope is agreed.

Q1

Is this a penetration test?

A security review can examine architecture, configuration, ownership, recovery and operating practices. Formal penetration testing requires its own authorization, method and specialist scope. Wise IT will identify that boundary when the need arises.

Q2

Can the review certify compliance?

No compliance attestation is implied. Wise IT can help organize technical evidence, interpret the technology work in scope and prepare remediation, while legal advice and formal certification remain with the appropriate qualified parties.

Q3

How does physical security fit?

Cameras and access systems depend on networks, storage, power, identity and secure remote administration. Wise IT can plan those technology dependencies and coordinate with qualified security, electrical and installation providers.

Q4

What do we receive from a security engagement?

The agreed deliverables may include findings, a prioritized improvement plan, architecture recommendations, ownership records, test evidence, recovery instructions and requirements for ongoing administration.
